I'm not a fan of urban exploration now but i used to (2 years ago or so). The problem is every abandoned house, school near my town gets destroyed. They love to destroy everything seriously.
The only urban exploration i've really did was in a old scottish cemetery with big old graves. Nobody went there since i don't know what year. There were a lot of plants who grew overtime so it was hard to get near. Most of them did not even reach the age of 10! Pretty spoopy
Btw i don't live in the states which is why my english might not be 100%. Sorry for all these posts at the same day, idk what to do. Just sharing my experience haha!
